In reply to Effexor XR plus Wellbutrin SR, posted by MarySue on October 2, 2001, at 18:39:55
Like Mary Sue, I am on Wellbutrin and Effexor. Most of the time, it keeps me happy, but sometimes I still slip into a depressed mood where my first impulse is to empty the bottles into my hands and swallow the pills. In addition to the Wellbutrin and Effexor, I am also on Neurontin (as a mood stabilizer) and Thiothixene, as I'm bipolar with psychotic features. The only medication that I can actually FEEL working is the anti-psychotic, Thiothixene. Yes, the Wellbutrin and Effexor do work most of the time, but I never know when I'm going to want to slice my wrists or overdose on my drugs or drown myself, etc. I wish to God I could find the happiness Mary Sue has found, but it still eludes me. Maybe if my doctor increases my dosages of each medication I'll be ok. I'm currently on 300mg daily of Wellbutrin and (I THINK) 90mg of Effexor. It often seems a losing battle, and I feel like I'll NEVER get better, which promts suicidal thoughts again. Please, if someone has words of advice for me, e-mail me at hermibob@ev1.net
Thanks,
Herm
