> I've been taking Celexa 20 mg for about a month and, although it has alleviated many of my anxiety/depression symptoms, it has also left me dead from the waist down ... no interest, no orgasm, no nothing. Also, I have slight nausea that persists and has greatly reduced my appetite. I'm also taking .5 mg clonazepam daily. Starting to wonder if I should just increase my clonazepam dose to 4 mg (as per my shrink's recommendations) and just forget about the celexa. I don't like being numb below the belt.20 mg Celexa did that to me, too.
I'm a big fan of clonazepam (works wonders for my non-depressive social phobia), and *have* seen some references to anti-depressant effect despite the more common charge that it can worsen or even cause depression. But 4 mg sounds like a pretty zonk-out dose. For panic disorder (one of the official U.S. indications for Klonopin), the manufacturer states that there's usually no added benefit from exceeding 1 mg/day. I'm taking 1 mg/day, vs. the 3 mg/day I started with three yars ago (and that was *definitely* more than I needed...benefits increased when I cut it down to 2.5 and then 2).
