I was taking it for 2 years just about every day, then I decided to quit taking it all together for 6 months, now I'm taking it again. After the period of about 2 years, it wasn't as effective as it once was and that's possibly because I was taking it all in one dosage. I would be taking 2-2.5mg every night at bedtime.
Now that I'm back on it, I find it's much more effective if you take it in divided doses throughout the day. Your body will basically tell you when you need to take it, and you know how much you can give it per day.
For relief of an anxiety disorder, I highly recommend it. For solving the root problem, I don't think it's possible with Clonazepam. Maybe it worked that way for some people, but for me, it's just like taking an aspirin for a headache. Except in this case I'm taking Clonazepam for a Panic Disorder. When the medication wears off, it's very possible that the symptoms could return. However, taking it in long doses for relief while you weigh out your other alternatives, that would be good.
