i have had the just the opposite effect from effexor - it takes all my aches and pains away. i recently quit taking it, and they all came back. so i went back to a lower dose and it's taking the pain away again.
i just went to my p-doc yesterday and he said their using effexor in high doses (450mg) as pain med now.
