A lot of posters on the board have already mentioned their struggle at first with Lamictal and getting a good night's rest. I'm currrently four days into starting treatment, at 50 mg per day, talking half in am and half in pm.
Some of you have mentioned that it will get easier as you tirate up, but a lot of you seem to add on klonapin or another sleep agent as the main way to get relief. As adding another drug to the regimen is not my first option, I'm wondering if there is going to be any signiifcant relief to restful sleep in sight down the road. And secondly, has anybody found that talking all of the dose in the AM is a viable option. I'm assuming this strategy is going to be just as disagreeable since as I tirate up, the huge dosage I would have to take all at once in the AM would cause a fairly high somnolescent effect.
Any thoughts?
