Can't tolerate SSRI's and I've heard that they aren't really that great for anxiety anyway. Clomipramine has worked well but causes sexual dysfunction and emotional blunting like SSRI's. imipramine seems to be the easiest to handle but I don't know if it would help with anxiety. Benzo's make me more depressed.

Vince,

You might give nortripytline a try. It is the active metabolite of amitriptyline (Elavil). It has a mild sedative effect and you can take it during the daytime. It doesn't cause near as much dry mouth as imipramine. Also, it has a good track record as a TCA for depression.
