> my pdoc said i should see a neurologist about some seizure-like experiences i keep having. it feels like a jolt in my brain and everything pauses for an instant. it doesn't usually bother me, but at times i will have several dozen zapping my brain over and over. lately some jolts are running down my arms to my hands as well. for any of you who have seen neurologists, how keen are they on psychological stuff, do you think? what should i expect? CAT scan? MRI? EEG?
i used to have weird feelings in my head when i looked at bright lights... like a zap... or just feeling a tightness in my head, having to close my eyes, could hear wind rushing through my ears sorta ....
i only started paying attention when i heard that
a. 50% of epileptics have bipolar
b. we use anticonvulsants for bipolar
c. there are seizures that don't involve falling on the ground and convulsingbut i hesitate bringing this up to my doc as i'm sure he already thinks i am a major hypochondriac
