Effexor and dizziness

I have been on Effexor xr for one month and am currently up to 150 mg. The depression/anxiety have improved but I still don't feel 100%. Last week, my pdoc increased my dosage of effexor to 225 mg but it left me extrememly dizzy and "spaced out" so I dropped back down to 150 mg after two days of trying. Should I have given the increased dosage more time and will these side effects go away? Also, he also prescribed 5 mg of Adderall xr during the day to give me more energy. It is on special order at the pharmacy so I have not yet tried it. Any thought on combining effexor and adderall? Thanks for all of your help.
