fValerian and myoclonus

Posted by MoBe on September 6, 2002, at 12:47:16

I am presently taking both 15 mg. remeron and 150 mg. wellbutrin. When I bring the remeron up to 45 mg. which is a more effective dose for my depression I get night myoclonus. (shoulder and leg jerks while I'm trying to go to sleep). Taking valerian at bedtime totally takes away the myoclonus. However, I have two concerns. First I have read that daily use of valerian can actually CAUSE depression, and I have no idea of the safety of using these three med/herbals together. Thanks for any input.
