>........ I fall asleep about the time when I would like to wake up in the morning. It's like I'm backwards. I wonder if I could dose the moclobemide once a day and maybe that would help or maybe take that one dose at night instead of the morning. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Jon,That's EXACTLY what happens to me when I go through seasonal bipolar depressive cycling during the year. I wake up feeling fairly decent, and then about midday I start getting tired and yawning, and have to struggle to avoid napping. Then later in the evening-when I need to get to sleep-I start to wake up again. Then I either have trouble getting to sleep, or I go to sleep right away and wake up 3 hrs. later. I can't go back to sleep for several hours and then I start to get really drowsy and sleepy RIGHT BEFORE I need to get up. I get up to go to work-and I am drowsy and irritable all day-and the cycle repeats. Any AD's I take-need to be short-acting, so they are clearing my system at bedtime. I think the idea of only taking your moclo first thing in the morning is a good one. Take all of the stimulating/activating meds early in the day (and make them short-acting meds), and let yourself crash at nite so you can sleep.
