Strangely, Effexor XR works better for many people than any of the SSRIs. You don't know till you try. I know a couple of people on it; one of which has had Effexor change his life for the better [his pdoc added Buspar and made it even more effective]. Give it a try for a few weeks [start low dose]. You can always wean down if you change your mind. Good luck.
