norpramin, cytomel and wellbutrin...

Posted by Basil on August 19, 2002, at 14:15:31

I have been taking 200 mg daily of norpramin for several months now, primarily to relax and help sleep. I am also taking, for the past 2 months, 50 mcg daily of cytomel to help with fatigue. I did notice a slight increase in energy since I started taking the cytomel; hoping to help my energy a little more I asked my doctor if he would increase my cytomel. He didn't want to increase the cytomel and instead, added wellbutrin (100 mg/daily). I've only taken the wellbutrin for 5 days now and I am feeling extremely agitated and more depressed. Has anyone had experience with this combination of medicines? Or what about wellbutrin, has anyone experienced intolerable side affects? If so, did the side affects pass eventually? The objective is to help my fatigue; he wants to try effexor if I can't handle the wellbutrin. Any comments on taking effexor and its associated side affects will be appreciated.
