Hi:'Scared to Death' is even putting it lightly, eh?..heh. Really, the panic and the anxiety is just horrid...believe me myself and most others on here know "that" feeling. Kinda like being lowered into molten lava 100,000,000 times over...ack..ughhh..maybe that is even too nice a description.
I deeply understand the panic 'hell' the SSRIS, Effexor, etc, can cause. I guess that is why I feel you *must* take the klonipin, or any other benzo, with it. I needed 2 years of continuous benzo use with my AD, until now I have only been able to use them 'as needed'...and still, in stressful times, I go back to continuous use.
Celexa and a lorazepam helped majorly....and the bottom line is, if Celexa with klonipin "seems" to help...it "does" help. Stick with it...up the klonipin when needed...and believe you *deserve* the best.
Best wishes and thoughts are with you...
Jay> Well my attempt to get back on my old friend Parnate for panic disorder/agoraphobia has been aborted due to not being able to tolerate feeling really sedated, a bit weird, and also frightenend of it all. Please, is there ANYONE else out there with panic disorder and agoraphobia (no offense, but it's not the same when it's a symptom of bi-polar)who was not succesful on SSRI's due to increasing the panic and anxiety BUT found success with Celexa and Klonopin? Since I have terrible responses to SSRI's - spontaneous and continuous panic that puts me into a nose dive - I was so hopeful that Parnate would once again save me. However it bit my a--! I'm deathly afraid of trying Celexa because of how I respond to the "feeling" of being on SSRI's (it's like a walking nightmare to me) but that's the next step as far as my pdoc is concerned. Just spoke with a friend who's been on Celexa since April and she's driving and doing all kinds of things she couldn't before. However, she had never been on a AD before. Is there any hope for me to respond any differently to Celexa if Paxil, Prozac and Effexor was like panic hell? (Remeron is out as well).
> CBT alone will not do it for me - any helpful advice is welcomed!
