Yes,
I see your point - i think it comes back
to the differential diagnosis problem -
there are practical limits to medical care -
i think that is underemphasized - especially
now with the boomers getting older. It is
far easier and more "dead on" to cure the
symptoms. This approach is not the most
elegant practice in scientific terms, but
i think that happens more often than we
dream.
