It always hurts when a husband posts about their wife- it makes me feel so badly for my husband. To answer your question- ask her pdoc what her blood level of depakote is, it needs to be at least in the 80s to stop a manic episode (for me that means 1500mg of depakote). Also, even the lowest amount of prozac makes me manic, is she still on it? Zyprexa would be a better choice then seroquel too- but I'm willing to bet the problem is the prozac and her depakote level being too low. I am so sorry you are going through this, I hope you know it's her illness talking and once she's better she'll feel the guilt and need your love more than ever. take care, judy
P.S. Even my worst manias are under control in a week- that's heavy depakote and zyprexa. But I've known some patients that are resistant to that and they've had ECT- but that was a psychotic manic episode not hypomanic.
