I'm not sure what to make of this. And I'm not sure my "water weight" theory applies here because I didn't have edema in other parts of my body, like my ankles, fingers, eyelids, etc.

I do know that, in some people, SSRI-induced real weight gain (i.e. weight gain that's not just from fluid-retention) can take quite a while to come off.
