> I've read here that Parnate is a great drug for depression with anxiety - on the other hand I've read here that Parnate causes agitation. What's the difference?
anxiety was feeling ashamed/embarrassed/caring what people think ... being sensitive about what people say... worried that people would judge how i behave ..... excessive thinking!
agitation is like being annoyed... like that itch that just won't go away -- nowhere near as bad as anxiety, and much easier to treat ...
... a lot of this went away when i started taking divided doses, stopped quickly changing gabapentin doses, and with time ...
> I have very bad anxiety, I can't take benzo's because of the depression - so would Parnate be a good choice? Should I be afraid of the agitation side effect?nah i wouldn't be afraid of it... it's totally different from anxiety.. and unlike anxiety you can function with it... btw i'm not sure anyone else has actually experienced this side effect .. but i know many have experienced much less anxiety
