My pdoc suggested I just take 2 mg at 10:30 instead. Now I'm waking up at almost exactly 5:30 am every morning. While that is certainly better than 2:30 am, it is definitely not my normal waking time. I am wondering why the effects last exactly the same length of time each night. Four hours for 1 mg, 7 hours for 2 mg.

Hi Dinah,Interesting what you have mentioned. I have been having early morning awakenings for three nites running and sleeping a total of about 3 hrs per night. I have been cutting down on Klonopin. I didn't take any yesterday, and have been at 1/2 my usual dose (.5mg), for two nites previous to that. I think I am going to have to take some tonite just so I can sleep. My pdoc told me at my last appt. that benzos tend to mess up your sleep (architecture). You might seem to sleep enough hours on them, but you might not have restful sleep. Remeron got mentioned to me, but I don't really want to go there for a third time! I am also taking a tiny (9mg) of Effexor and 18.75mg of Wellbutrin in the morning. I started having the troubles since I added the WB to the Effexor. Also, I had troubles with sleeping when I pushed my Effexor dosage up to 25mg a day.
