Wellbutrin + Remeron

Posted by Shawn. T. on July 22, 2002, at 15:46:48

I think that these two offset each other's side effects very nicely. Their weight loss/gain qualities complement each other. The agitation/anxiolytic properties complement each other. The sedating/activating properties offset one another. The Wellbutrin makes it unnecessary to take more than 15mg of Remeron, thus decreasing side effects even more. Wellbutrin (bupropion) has been said to have the most favorable overall side effect profile. Remeron's biggest problems are drowsiness and weight gain, so why not combine the two drugs? Bipolars could add on fish oils and be just fine. Am I being illogical? These are the two best drugs available for depression with the least number of side effects. What is it going to take for me to convince people that SSRI's and tricylcic antidepressants are awful drugs? I just don't get it.
