I know someone who had sleep apnea.
Testing revealed that he had hypothyroid.
Hypothyroid is a common cause of depression and
is treated with synthetic hormones.

Good doctors will usually screen for hypothyroid
when starting to contemplate administering antidepressants.

ADs won't work well with hypothyroid. And just
treating the hypothyroid may solve all the problems.
