Why is Dexedrine more taboo than Adderall?

Posted by DiscoPuppy on June 15, 2002, at 12:55:56

There seems to be this stigma for phychiatrists to prescribe Dexedrine (over Adderall or Ritalin) from what I hear. Is this true - and why is it? Adderall has some of the same ingredients Dexedrine does. . . so I'm confused.

Although my Adderall is working, it does caused a marked anxiety (generalized). Through reading books and skimming through web pages of people with first hand experience, it appears as though Dexedrine (vs Adderall) has somewhat less of an anxiety issue.

Can someone confirm?

I'm particulary interested in the Spansules.
