> Hi! I haven't suffered from PMS for years, and now it's ba-ackkkk. Bigtime. Does PMS tend to get worse if you are depressed?

> ThanksPMS is related to hormone fluctuations. And depression can be related to hormonal changes, among other things. I find pms/depression/agitation all very confusing and can't real tease out what is what, even with close mood charting.
As we age our hormone levels can change, exacerabating problems, like pms or depression. I am 36, and was put on a new BCP specifically marketed for PMS and PMDD. It's called Yasmin, and I have had moderate success with it. The company, Berlex, is promoting that their pill, with a new type of progestin, will take the place of SSRI or AD therapies for PMS. Of course I need both AD's and BCP's. But you might want to check into it...Or search the psycho babble archives, as it' been discussed in past posts.
Hope this is helps
