Calm from Wellbutrin?

Posted by Anyuser on June 14, 2002, at 10:24:29

There are a couple of studies concluding that Wellbutrin has "anxiolytic effects" comparable to Zoloft. Here are the links:

http://www.nimh.nih.gov/ncdeu/abstracts2001/ncdeu3028.cfm

http://www.nimh.nih.gov/ncdeu/abstracts2000/ncdeu026.cfm

These studies don't seem to be consistent with what people say on this board. Has anybody experienced a calming effect from Wellbutrin?

I would be especially interested in hearing from someone who has responded to both an SSRI and Wellbutrin and could compare the subjective feeling of responding to one versus the other.
