Lomictal Geodon conflict?

Posted by DanO on June 14, 2002, at 2:11:36

Hello, I take 1 25mg dose of lomictol in the morning at 9:00AM And 60mg Geodon at 9:00PM for a good reason. Lomical reaches it's climax 12-18 hours after it's taken. Geodon reaches its climax 3 hours after its taken. This knocks me out at 12:00AM, right when I want to go to bed. The problem? I also take 40mg geodon at 9:00AM, and at 4:00PM.

The real problem times are then 12:00 Noon, and 6:00PM. Somehow the worst of the two is Noon.

Today I was shopping and I was still driving at noon. I could barely keep my eyes open. I was basicaly driving between 1 second blinks. It does not take a genious to figure out that it was not safe.

I know it isn't geondon alone, because I used to take geodon alone until three weeks later I discovered I was Bi-polar-skitzo-affective. (However that spelled) Anyway I was never tired. I went to bed at 2:00AM Took an hour to fall asleep and woke up at 6:00AM.

So I know It is a combination of geodon and lomictal that is doing this. I first tried welbutrin but that gave me a 24hr headache, but not tired. Further evidence it is the combo.

So what do I do? I'm not even going to attempt to get a job in my condition. Is there something other than Lomictal and Welbutrin tha I can use, and not make me tired?

Help!
