TRAZODONE, TIANEPTINE and PROZAC

Posted by freedom2001 on June 13, 2002, at 0:56:08

Hi,

I have had OCD since 14.

I've been on
trazodone (50mg at night)
prozac (80 mg - morning and evening)
and it feels slightly better in the sense that I can fight off my obessional thoughts 50% of the time.

The previous single prozac 80mg treatment was basically quite useless.

When I see my doctor, he prescribed an additional 12.5mg tianeptine (stablon) to go with the morning dose of 40mg prozac.

My questions:
1 Does this combination help?

2 Or should I try out the 2nd option of leaving out tianeptine and increasing trazodone to 100mg, in combo with prozac 80mg?

3 My sexual desires and libido does not seem to decrease even when on 80mg prozac. Does this mean prozac is not working?

4 Any new drug or research on OCD?

Advice needed.

Thanks.
