Well, I have actually not been able to try it for any longer than two days (due to the nausea/malaise). I have previously tried no more than one (300 mg) dose on about three different occasions. In each of these, the nausea/malaise, though immediate, wasn't as bad as it was this last time, but was unpleasant enough for me to feel like 'puttting off' giving it a proper (full) trial until a later time.
[BTW, unlike this last time, the previous times I tried it, no benefits were apparent to me. This last time however, I had tried the adrafinil on a day when at work. I believe it was because of this (being at work) that I was finally able to notice *functional* benefits from the adrafinil (e.g. improved alertness, attentiveness, verbal facility, short term and long term recall, etc...).]
> did you find the bothersome side-effects came on immeidately or after taking it for a while? As far as the more extreme nausea/malaise I experienced this last time, no this occurred on and throughout the second day.
> Did you notice benefits immediately
Well, I began to notice the benefits a few hours later. I mean, since adrafinil didn't make me *feel* any mental change (unlike other psychostimulants such as Dexedrine or Ritalin, etc, do), it was only after a few hours had gone by when, during my lunch break, it began to dawn on me that my mental functioning had actually been improved since shortly after taking the adrafinil that morning.
> or after a while with it too?I take it you mean like, after a week or so... This is what I want (and, of course, have yet) to find out. :-)
Ken
PS: I suppose I could also mention here that I take other medications (which may or may not be affecting my response to adrafinil): Luvox (fluvoxamine) 100 mg/day (for depression); Dexedrine (d-amphetamine) 55 mg/day (for attention deficit -nonhyperactive type); Prinivil (lisinopril) 30 mg/day (for mild essential hypertension).
