In reply to Zyprexa Li working great, but I need your help.., posted by jaby on May 25, 2002, at 16:49:33
Jaby,Zyprexa really is a wonder drug--whatever you decide, I encourage you to adjust something else. It worked for me after fifteen years of trials. . I only gave it up because of big weight gain, which not everyone gets, and there are some suggestions now how to avoid it. . .WHOA! I just saw your Neurontin dose! I've taken Neurontin-- 2400mg would put me in a coma! IMO, you are *real* safe in reducing that! It's a very flexible drug, easy to decrease--and Zyprexa is sooo much more effective for BP, there's no comparison. It could be, too, that you simply *need* less Neurontin with both Zyprexa and Lithobid on board, so that your former dose is now too much.
Hope this helps--I know how you feel, my experience Zyprexa is a med you can trust. (If they're both new additons, though, why both? It's recommended to add one med at a time, in order to evaluate.
