Hi Anna,

I know it is available in England. I'm not sure where else.

The mode of action of Acamprosate is quite different from
Naltrexone. Its definately not an apples-to-apples comparison.

There is some clinical interest in Acamprosate as a mood stabilizer
for treatment resistant bipolar (I saw an open study).

Naltrexone antagonizes (blocks) opioid receptors.

Acamprosate has 2 modes of action. It enhaces the release
at Gaba(b) receptors and it also weakly inhibits NMDA (excitatory)
transmission.

Take Care,
John
