It's been hard for me to accept this bipolar diagnosis for some reason -- I've never had any kind of manic episode that I'm aware of -- but I fluctuate from extreme fatigue to extreme agitation very often. This all started after having my baby 2 1/2 years ago. My pdoc said this bipolar condition may have just been latent until I had my daughter.

I was diagnosed a year after my daughter's birth eleven years ago. The anxiety and agitation seem worsened now that I'm taking Wellbutrin alone (as opposed to taking it with other drugs, such as Serzone and SSRIs).

LW,Here is an excellent site with a FAQ sheet about Lamictal. I'ts 5 pages of info. I've been on Lamictal for a month now with good results. I'm also on Imipramine. The onset of my illness was 13 years ago after the birth of my son. My ups are just increases in energy and restlessness. No hypomania. Soft cycling bipolar. Wellbutrin does nothing for anxiety used alone. It just exacerbates it. It did when I took it without a mood stabilizer. It is known to prevent mood swithces in bipolar when used with a mood stabilizer. I hope this info. helps.
