Provigil (modafinil) and oral contraceptives help!

I just started provigil, in combination with wellbutrin, which i have been on for a while. On the package insert, it said you have to use back up birth control the whole time you are on it. I've been on the pill for years and there is no way i am going off of it.
Does anyone know how much provigil interferes w/ the effectiveness of the oral contraceptive? Has anyone been on both? I'm in a quandry...
