Hi Tool,

I take Dexedrine, but I have to go on "drug holidays" now and then in order to prevent tolerance. During those "holidays," either I don't take anything or I switch to one of the forms of Ritalin. I do find Dexedrine withdrawal rather difficult. It takes me one to two weeks of being off of it in order not to feel exhaustion and depression. Since you were on Effexor, too, which was probably potentiating the Dexedrine, or vice versa, your fatigue may be even worse. Give it some more time. I took Effexor a long time ago, and I really DISLIKED it! I told my doctor that I thought it should be called "Ineffexor," but I have paradoxical reactions to almost all meds. I have "met" a few posters on this board who don't have quite as difficult a time as I have getting off of Dexedrine. By the way, I take pretty low doses. Lately, I haven't gone above 20 mg per day, and I've never gone above 30 mg in the entire time I've taken it. Thirty mg seems like a lot to me, but my doctor says it's not.

I hope you feel better.
Bekka
