Adderall-XR Dosing

Hi.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has taken Adderall-XR. I'd like to know how you figure how many milligrams you need. How does it compare with regular, immediate release Adderall? How does it compare with Dexedrine dosing, if applicable?
I've taken regular Adderall in the past, and I could never quite adjust the dosing correctly. I was trying to base the dosing on the number of milligrams of Dexedrine I had taken, but that didn't work too well.
