my *guess* is...from personal experience, the higher the SSRI dose, the greater sense of apathy, or blunted emotion...you begin not to care so much about certain things (like obsessive thoughts---how many times you locked the door, etc)....in my case, although I never had OCD, I began to not really care about paying my cell-phone bill or going to school, or locking my doors at all...
