It is with great pleasure that I am able to answer questions for you for a change and share some of MY experiences with you! :-)
Okay, here goes:
> You said the Klonopin does not help you sleep.
That is correct. It has NEVER helped me sleep, but remember I take *only* 1mg and it was never prescribed for sleep. It was prescribed for anxiety.
Pdoc and I experimented with me taking it before bedtime to see if would induce sleep, but no, zip, nada. Perhaps because of it's being one of the long-acting benzo's, I think it takes longer than other benzos for onset of action.
> Do you feel drowsey from it?
Nope, NOT AT ALL. I've never felt drowsy from it! Again, all I've ever taken has been 1mg - now sometimes during extreme anxiety, my pdoc has had me take 1 mg several times a day, but still no drowsiness. At most, a calming effect. Shuts down racing thoughts and feeling like I could jump out of my skin.
> Do you feel anything from it?
As I mentioned above, what I feel from it is a very SUBTLE calming effect. My pdoc and I think I'd be far more anxious, bouncing off the walls more, if I was not on this *maintenance* dose of 1mg/day of Klonopin.
Hope this helps. If you've got more questions, bring 'em on! :-)
