Hi:
I deeply empathize with your Effexor experience. Are you on the 'XR' (extended release..1x a day..in a capsule) or regular (pill form..2-3x a day)? How many mg's?
Did your doctor give you anything to help with anxiety, like klonipin or anything like that?
