800mg seems hugely excessive to me. I doubt you would be able to remember your own name at that dosage. How much are you taking now?

That you were responsive to Nardil is a perfect reason to try Effexor. That you are treatment-resistant is another wonderful reason to try Effexor if you have not already. Effexor is favored by many clinicians for treating difficult cases. One TRD specialist (Andrew Nierenberg) commented to me before its approval that Effexor (then known only as venlafaxine) was a sort of non-MAOI MAOI.
