Hi Ya'll,
I probably shouldn't post this... but I'm going to in the hopes that maybe those that post here may think about how they interact with other "newbies" here in the future...
I'll be the first to say that maybe I should have waited longer for a more positive "welcome" from the "community" here... a couple of days really isn't that long. But, I've been interacting with on line communities for a couple of years now, and I think I have some sense of what to expect. I'm also almost 50 years old now, and have been interacting with fellow humans for all my life...
I feel like I'm being ignored, or shunned.. and, based on my past experiences with forums such as this, I don't think my feelings are base-less. We're all trying to find "connection", otherwise we wouldn't be writing our thoughts and feelings down for others to read and comment on.
Maybe you found my style of writing offensive. Maybe you found the topics I wrote about threatening to your personal belief structures... I don't know... I have no way of knowing. Other than DreamerX, and one other person, no one even bothered to comment, and only DreamerX had the COMMON COURTESY to extend a WELCOME to a new person here ( Thank you, Dreamer..)! What is wrong with this picture????? Was a simple "Welcome here" all that time consuming, and difficult to post??
I hope you can find the basic humanity within yourselves to think about something so basic and simple, the next time a newbie posts at this forum...
And, I hope you all find what you're looking for in your lives..
Best Wishes,U&D
