Aching joints, Synovial cysts, etc.

Hi everyone.

I've been having some severe pain in my joints lately. I don't know whether it is arthritis per se or something else. I have also noticed several new synovial cysts around the joints in my fingers and hands. I understand that this can occur when synovial fluid leaks. I wonder whether this is just normal aging or whether it might be a side effect of medicines. Have any of you experienced this problem, especially an increase in the number of synovial cysts?
