An anticholinergic drug works against the action of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine that interact with cholinergic receptors which produce nerve impulses commonly with in the parasympathetic nervous system.

Acetylcholine is a derivative of choline which is often classed as a member of the B-vitamins.
