Geodon makes depression worse?

I'm not sure if I'm just having a bad day already or if my medication isn't working right. I'm bipolar II and take Effexor, Neurontin, Geodon, and an occassional Valium. These past few days I find myself so teary and I'm just taking the last of my Risperdal. I switched from Risperdal to Geodon and have been slowing tapering off the Risperdal.
Does anyone know if this is a normal side effect or would you suggest just upping my Effexor?
