ADDERALL: weakness and freezing hands-HELP

Posted by Peter on March 5, 2002, at 14:52:46

Hello all:
I'm on my second week of the following medication combo: Neurontin (200mgX3), klonopin(1.5mg throughout day), and Adderall XR (10 mg each am). I also take an additional normal Adderall 5mg dose late afternoon/early evening. I've been experiencing extremely cold hands, a side-effect that is particularly disturbing to me, as I am a pianist. It seems that no matter how many times I soak my hands in hot water, the coldness just keeps coming back. Does anyone have a suggestion for something that would help this?
Also, I'm noticing that the Adderall, which my doctor perscribed to me for depression and ADD (conventional SSRI's and other antidepressants had adverse effects on me), gives me a lift when it kicks in, but renders me weak and tired for the majority of the day. I don't know if this means I am on too low a dose, but all I can say is that, after a week, adderall is purely a source of cold hands and weakness for me. That's it! Any thoughts/suggestions, etc.?
