Hi TSA. Thanks for writing. I put an update on this board a few weeks ago, titled something like "Update on my ECT adventure". Basically, I'm doing better and better, thanks to both therapy and ect. Right now I get the ect once every two weeks, and in 2 months we're going to try once every 3 weeks, then at some point every 4 weeks, 5 weeks, etc. The docs said that we would then try me off of it. I'm doing a great therapy program right now called The Solution, which was originally developed for overweight people whose eating problem has an emotional basis, but the program helps people with all kinds of emotional problems. I really do recommend it, its based on cognitive-behavioral therapy. There's a website on it, I just can't remember the web address right now. So anyway, I'm feeling better, and working on getting out of my miserable job, and making friends. I've made some friends from the therapy groups, which is good for me. I have a fear though that if I stop ect, I might go back to the deep depression I was in! Let's hope this lasts. I just started Provigil, and I think it gives me a mood boost. Also I just started eating very healthily and exercising regularly, so that should help too. I'll keep the board updated. :)
