Jason,
I think I have the same thing going on as you do. I dont have major depression but just lack the drive and energy to enjoy life anymore and it's pissing me off. I am really interested to see how the deprenyl does for you. I am a diabetic and Im sure that makes matters worse for me. I'm waiting for the adrafinil to take effect, second day so far. It sucks your only 17 and going through this. (Im 33 myself) And I agreee with you about John, it has been very helpful reading his posts and everyone elses. I have never had these problems before and have never taken any antidepressants although I read up on everything nutritional and chemical related just for interest. Good luck and let me know how it goes as I may just copycat your meds. :)

And the fact that I don't respond to amphetamines is really odd I think too, (regarding Adderall - no response at even 50mg at once). But, on the other hand, Ritalin did have a major impact on me when I took a single dose from my sisters med supply. It made me quite hyper and I would couldn't keep still and I acted like a frickin ADHD prototype. So, anyway, I was thining that the Jumex would help with my depression along with the Klonopin to increase my catacholamine activity as well as PEA for a good mood brightener. Low-dose only though. Like eventually 5mg every other day or so with supplementaion of the precurser to PEA, phenylalanine. It should at least releave the mental fog caused by the Klonopin. My anxiety is gone with it and I feel so much better now that THAT has been taken care of. I don't think my depression has anything to do with serotonin. In the past I'd take up to 900mg/day on the 5-HTP and didn't experience hardly anything. My symptoms are low-motivation, anxiety (which is now fixed with the Klonopoin), lack of desire, etc. But I don't feel sad or suicidal or anything. And so therefore the SSRI's are out of the question, I don't want any of those pesky sexual side-effects, especially at 17. MAO-B inhibition just might do it for me. Like I said before people have posted saying that the Klonopin+low-dose selegiline cured their depression and anxiety and that they seemed to benefit from eachother. Increased motivation, sex-drive, anxiety gone, and feeling awesome! I hope that this would work for me. What meds would you suggest for me other than the plan that I have come up with, which really won't be put to the test until my Jumex arrives in 2.5 weeks. -Jason911
