Bupropion (Wellbutrin) is metabolized by the liver. The be more specific, the parent compound (bupropion) is metabolized by CYP2B6 and CYP3A4 while the metabolite, hydroxybupropion, is metabolized by CYP2D6.
> An earlier post mentioned that Wellbutrin is not metabolized by the liver..... Is this true?
> I thought all SSRI's were metabolized by the liver.
