The stimulants help the ADHD, but worsen the OCD. A combination of the two is an idea, but I can't get the two meds balanced right, because I don't know which is the primary problem. I think maybe the ADHD. I seem to not be able to reason and judge things well, so I obsess over them again and again, because my judgement and self-esteem are poor. I am mainly referring to appearance type things. Anyone have any response on this. Could I be being treated for a primary OCD, but ADHD be the primary problem? Or, are the two often seen together? I would appreciate any response.

> Frankie.Hi Frankie,
I have got a couple of suggestions you might consider that have worked so-so for me in the past. I found that Celexa and Prozac were the only two SSRI's that improved my ability to listen (at low doses). I have no idea why. Paxil, Zoloft, and Luvox all made me foggy-headed.
I also found that if I combined a low-dose of Celexa with a *very* low dose of a dopamine-agonist (in my case pergolide), it enhanced that "ability to listen" even further. The DA-agonist by itself didn't do diddly-squat interestingly (just made me nauesous and drowsy).
I also found that if I combined a low-dose of Celexa with a *little* Buspar it helped, too. Watch out for hostility-though. You have to keep the dose of Celexa high enough relative to the Buspar or you will lose the anti-obsessional qualities of the SSRI.
Just some thoughts to tinker with.
