Here's a summary: it's classified as an SSRE, it actually ENHANCES the reuptake of serotonin, so its mechanism of action is completely opposite to that of SSRIs. However, paradoxically, in Europe where it's widely used it seems to have the same success rate as SSRIs. It is indicated in the treatment of anxio-depressive disorders and generally has few side-effects. So it's definitely worth a shot if you've had a go with SSRIs. The standard dose is 37.5 mg (1 tab) 3 times a day, but some Babblers swear you need to find your own dosage level - either more or less.
I took Stablon for a couple of months (37.5 x 3, then 75 x 3,) but it didn't do me much good. If I took all 3 at once, I would feel really good for about an hour or so, but this brief period of respite wouldn't last. But like I said, it's definitely worth a shot, especially because of its minimal side-effect profile. Do a PB search to find out more. Take care.
