Yes, it does help, and I have found that Neurontin helps too(with bipolar depression). I haven't tried Lamictal yet-that one is also supposed to be good for that. I would like to hear about responses that other bp2's have with combo mood stabilizers such as Lithium+Neurontin+Lamictal+Klonopin. I really think there are *ways* to get around needing to take standard AD's for BP depression with *superior* efficacy and tolerability. I would personally like to try a very low-dose newer pstim with some of the above mood stabilizers.
I really feel there are solutions to most of these puzzles with present day meds.
