I agree that tapering is the order of the day for any drug but you have to admit that your first statemnet above is a generalisation unto itself. If you do not believe it to be a generalisation, can you provide reference to the medical resesarch that says so - that 50% have these problems as you say?This is not the norm by all studies reviewed by years of amalgamated studies by the World Heath Organisation who deem long and short term BZD monotherapy is relatively risk free.
