I'm curious about the impact of fish oil on
the brain. At one point in time I took large
volumes of fish oil and I found that it had a
very profound effect on my mental state (I was
taking no medicines at the time). Specifically
I was much less anxious, having VERY INTENSE dreams,
relieved of psychomotor agitation, generally felt
pretty good. Alas I stopped taking it because one
day I woke up and I got this crummy
permanent myofacial pain. When I discontinued the fish oil
about 2/3 of the myofacial pain subdued, but I have battled it
ever since (Klonopin and Topamax fix it).So I'm wondering what the heck fish oil does (did it
mess me up)? I think I read it improves synaptic
receptor binding properties or something.
Also has anyone else had such a profound experience on
it?-John
