Hi Rational,
I have been taking Geodon for more than 3 months and at first the capsules would also make me extremely sleepy for a couple hours. I simply had to take naps during those periods. Fortunately, after a couple months, the sedation seemed to abate and now I am back to my normal self.
Overall Geodon has worked out extremely well for me; I hope it works out for you too. All I can say is stick with it for a couple months; the sedation should go away.

> I'm taking 40 mg bid of Geodon and I'm experiencing a lot of sedation...for the first few hours after taking a capsule I am fine, but about 2-3 hours later I am so tired and I feel like a zombie. Concentrating on even simple tasks is difficult. Is anyone else having this problem? Does this sedation ever wear off with continued use of the drug?
